Software Engineer — Fleet & Reliability (m/f/d)

Our appliances run in our customers' data centers. They should update themselves, report their status and be maintainable without on-site visits. You own this part of the product, from deployment through updates to monitoring.

Your work is what lets BRANE scale beyond individual installations: every shipped appliance should set itself up, update cleanly and report its state reliably — without physical access and without maintenance windows.

What you'll work on:

Deployment and updates of devices in the field
Monitoring and status reporting for the fleet
Setup of new devices
Secure remote access for maintenance and support

Your tasks

Build update processes that work reliably and roll back cleanly
Further automate the setup of new devices
Analyze devices remotely when something is off
Build monitoring and alerting

What you bring

Experience operating servers or distributed systems in production
Very good Docker and Linux knowledge
Care with updates, rollbacks and access control
TypeScript knowledge or the willingness to learn it
A pragmatic approach to hardware in the field: limited connectivity, no remote hands
Low-level Linux administration (boot processes, systemd, image building) is a plus
Experience with edge deployments or on-premise/air-gapped environments is a plus
