Chief of Staff / Founder Associate (m/f/d)

AI-Z is growing across three business areas at once — AI training, consulting and the BRANE hardware product. The CEO is at the limit of the cadence, reporting and prioritization one person can carry alone. This role creates the operational structure so leadership scales instead of becoming the bottleneck. It is the role with the broadest perspective in the company — and the highest level of trust.

Your tasks

  • Cadence & meeting structure: You establish and run the leadership routines (leadership meetings, goal reviews, board preparation) and ensure decisions are made and tracked.
  • Board & investor reporting: You prepare board and investor reporting — structured, fact-based, decision-ready.
  • KPI & goal tracking: You build and maintain the KPI and goal cockpit across all areas and surface deviations early.
  • Prioritization & leadership support: You support the leadership team with prioritization, prepare decisions and free up the CEO for what only they can do.
  • Process standardization: You standardize recurring workflows across areas and create structure where things were ad-hoc.
  • Recruiting & external communication: You support recruiting processes and the company's external communication.

What you bring

  • Experience in a Chief of Staff, strategy, consulting or comparable role close to executive leadership
  • Exceptional structural and organizational ability — you bring order to complexity
  • Analytical sharpness and the ability to derive priorities from data
  • Absolute discretion and trustworthiness — you work on the company's most sensitive topics
  • Very good German and English
  • Nice to have: experience in a startup or scale-up environment
  • Nice to have: understanding of finance, fundraising and governance
  • Nice to have: basic technical understanding (AI, security — not required)
